Sanjay Vattamreddy

Sanjay Vattamreddy is a writer, actor, and standup comedian currently studying TV Writing at NYU Tisch. He grew up in Dallas, TX where he attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.


Sanjay is currently represented by CESD Talent Agency as an actor. He’s acted in feature films, short films, commercials, and even print ads. As a comedian, he has opened for comedians like Michael Longfellow, Troy Bond, Vishnu Vaka, Jamie Wolf, and Kiry Shabazz. He has been performing standup comedy for over 4 years and has been writing for stage and screen for over 3 years.

 

He most recently starred in Hasya, a TV pilot with a 16,000 dollar budget, about Indian culture which he also co-wrote and co-produced.

 

As a writer, Sanjay is a member of Etch-a-Sketch, one of NYU’s premiere sketch comedy groups where he has his comedy writing showcased consistently. He has also had his work produced both on stage and on screen.


Professionally Sanjay has interned at West Side Comedy Club, Naked Eye Production, and most recently, Saturday Night Live during its 50th season. He is also the President and co-founder of Love of Laughter, a non profit that performs music and comedy for the elderly community, which he still operates. Love of Laughter has grown to have multiple chapters in colleges across the country including UC Berkeley, UT Austin, NYU, Northwestern, and Princeton University.
